Solar Integration
Adding to the efficiency of the GreenHeat System is the option to integrate a solar hot water tank. Any solar storage unit can be connected to the GreenHeat system to work in conjunction with the Rinnai Hot water boiler and save even further on Gas consumption. Utilising the solar water for your domestic usage results in a significant reduction of Greenhouse gases emitted by the burning of fossil fuels. The Solar water can then be used for all your domestic hot water fixtures saving you up to 60 % on you hot water usage.
Hydrotherm can assist with the connection of the Solar Unit to act as a pre-heater to the Rinnai Gas Hot water heater.
Please note - the Solar water is not a source for the hydronic heating and it is not possible to archive heating for an entire home solely from the use of a Solar system. Gas is the only fuel with the capacity to heat the water volume required at a fast enough speed to provide hydronic heating.
Feel free to contact any solar company in regards to purchasing a Solar Tank System. A gas or electric boosted solar tank is usually not necessary, as it will be plumbed into the Rinnai Gas Unit, which will act as a booster itself. The size of your solar tank will depend on the amount of bathrooms you have. Contact a solar dealer to help you with this decision.
